OPENING STATEMENT

'A Unified Theory of a Law' rests upon a foundation of a mere ten major ideas. That is all - just ten!  Anyone can learn ten ideas, no? Yet, a law is defined by this handful of ten ideas. They are the common 'core' or 'genetic code' of a law. With these ten ingredients, all of our laws are made. They are:

The factual aspect of a law
1)  Conduct: Its variable holds unlimited values (Click Here)
2)  Source: Its variable holds unlimited values (Click Here)
3)  Recipient: Its variable holds unlimited values (Click Here)
4)  Circumstances: Its variable holds unlimited values (Click Here)

The process of lawmaking is not monolithic. In order to formulate the three permutations of a law, a lawmaker engages in three activities. It is in these three activities that we find 5 more of the 10 ideas.

Issuing a law
5)  Opinion Held: Its variable holds three values: like, indifference and dislike (Click Here)

7)  Law Expressed: Its variable holds three values: Command for positive conduct, Permission for either positive or negative conduct, Command for negative conduct (Click Here)

Although there are quite a few ways to construct a sentence, for expressing a law, one is preferred. It is here we we find the tenth idea.

Learn what 'A Unified Theory of a Law' teaches and even the greatest legal genius can understand a law no better than you!  'A Unified Theory of a Law' is our compass that gives us our bearings and keeps us from becoming lost and confused when buffeted by the storms of meaningless legalese that all too often rumble and flash across the legal landscape.

Physicists have struggled in vain for years to discover a unified theory of everything; lawyers, however, have had better success. We now have 'A Unified Theory of a Law'. It teaches that a law is simple, its behavior is regular, and its structure can be broken down into parts and mapped on a Periodic Table of the Elements of a Law®.
